The Hill Section

With stunning ocean views, quiet streets, and fantastic schools, the Hill Section of Manhattan Beach is a fantastic place to live. Overlooking both Manhattan and Hermosa, this section of Manhattan Beach offers many large and irregular lots which allow for larger houses that include a yard, something not seen in most parts of the South Bay.

Luxury Homes with Breathtaking Views

There are large luxury homes with multi-million-dollar price tags in each section of Manhattan Beach, but the Hill Section has the greatest concentration of impressive homes. Because of the large lots and stunning views, developers of new, finer homes were attracted to this area earlier than other parts of town. As a result, you will find fewer 1950s-vintage homes in the Hill Section.

Homes located on the west side of the hill have panoramic ocean views from Palos Verdes to Malibu. Homes on the east side have views of the city and distant mountains. To take advantage of the views, some Hill Section homes have a reverse floor plan, where bedrooms are on the entry-level and the living areas are upstairs.

Hill Section lot sizes range from 3,500 square feet to over 15,000 square feet.

Street parking is readily available. There are no schools in the Hill Section and only one small, lot-sized park, so it is a quiet neighborhood.

Elementary school students in the Hill Section usually attend Robinson Elementary.
