The Tree Section

The Tree Section is nestled between Rosecrans Avenue and Manhattan Beach Boulevard to the north and south and Sepulveda Boulevard and the Sand Section to the east and west.

The Tree Section frequently attracts larger families since the homes tend to be larger than 3,000 square feet and have a lot size of typically 40 feet by 120 feet which allows for a sizable backyard. It is not an uncommon sight to see children riding bikes and playing in the streets. The Tree Section showcases a wide range of architecture, from east coast to Mediterranean as well as Craftsman style.

Elementary school students living south of Rosecrans, east of Laurel, west of PCH and north of Manhattan Beach Blvd. attend Pacific Elementary School.

American Martyrs Area

The American Martyrs Catholic Church sits on the highest spot in the Tree Section. Its golden, domed bell tower can be seen from quite a distance and the hourly chimes can be heard around town. The American Martyrs Catholic School is nearby. This area of the Tree Section surrounding the church property has come to be known as the American Martyrs or just Martyrs neighborhood. It is sometimes called the American Martyrs hill area but should not be confused with the Hill Section of Manhattan Beach. It is the one area in the Tree Section where you might find a home with an ocean view. This is one of the priciest portions of the Tree Section.
