Manhattan Village now holds a certified farmers market every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. It is listed to run into December. Ten Thursdays remain between now and the final listed date. The center also runs a free fitness morning on the first Friday of each month. Manhattan Heights Park hosts the city's Halloween carnival on a Saturday afternoon. Put those together and the Sepulveda side of town has a fall schedule of its own, with dates you can plan a week around. You no longer have to take every fall plan from downtown and the Civic Center.
The Hometown Fair at Live Oak Park closes out today, Sunday, October 4. Valley Drive reopens after tonight's closure. That makes this a good week to set up the rest of the season.
The market behind the parking structure
The new Manhattan Village Farmers Market opened on July 9, 2026. The center lists its spot as next to Anthropologie and promises free parking. Shoppers can expect produce, plants, honey, seasonal flowers and handcrafted goods. Easy Reader's food column put it more precisely in late July. The market sits behind the parking structure, between Anthropologie and CVS, and the column described it as growing.
It is a state-certified market. The California Department of Food and Agriculture's roster of certified farmers markets, dated July 1, 2026, lists it at 3200 N. Sepulveda Blvd. with Rocky Dhupar as manager. That snapshot gives the hours as 3 to 8 p.m. The center's own current listing says 2 to 7 p.m., and that is the schedule to plan around.
The event listing from the promoter, SDHUPAR Inc., gives a better sense of what you'll find there:
- More than 40 vendors, selling produce, prepared foods, baked goods, drinks and local specialty products
- Live music and family activities through the afternoon
- A free $5 market token for kids and students, good at any vendor
- Free admission, every Thursday
Few vendors have announced their booths publicly so far. Gourmet Blends is one of them, offering samples of its barrel-aged balsamic vinegars and oils.
When the season ends
The center's page lists the run as ending "Thursday, December 9th." December 9, 2026 is a Wednesday. Gourmet Blends lists a market on Thursday, December 10, and so does the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce calendar. Count December 10 as the likely last market, and check the center's page in early December. Thursday, November 26 is Thanksgiving. No source says whether the market runs that day, so confirm before you head over.
A center that is adding reasons to stop by midweek
The market is the most visible change at Manhattan Village this year, but other changes have come before and alongside it.
Winston Piesmiths opened in August at 3360 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Suite N-120. Its menu goes beyond pie, with matcha, Caffe Luxxe coffee and McConnell's ice cream. Manhattan Village announced on August 14 that the shop was officially open. That puts coffee and a sweet stop a short walk from the Thursday market.
Earlier in the year, The 1916 Company opened a 5,800-square-foot watch and jewelry showroom at 3208 N. Sepulveda Blvd. It announced the opening on April 9. Black Clover held its grand-opening event at the center March 28 through 31.
The center's monthly event comes next. M.V. MOVES is Manhattan Village's free community fitness morning on the first Friday of the month. It opens with an 8 a.m. Run Club and follows with a full-body toning class at 9 a.m. The October 2 session has passed. The next two are November 6 and December 4, and the center says all fitness levels are welcome.
That gives the center a weekly anchor and a monthly one, with enough tenants to fill a few hours on either day. Downtown has run on that kind of rhythm for a long time. Until this summer, Manhattan Village had no recurring date like it.
Manhattan Heights Park takes the Halloween Saturday
The biggest family event on the east side this fall is close to home. The 38th Annual Family Halloween Carnival is Saturday, October 24, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Manhattan Heights Park, 1600 Manhattan Beach Boulevard.
The city's page has a few details that make the afternoon easier:
- Arrive 15 minutes early for the parade. The costume contest and parade start on the baseball field at 1 p.m. sharp. Groups line up behind colored flags by category.
- Pick your category. Individual categories are 7 and under, at the green flag, and 8 to 15, at the red flag. Group categories are siblings, at the blue flag, and parent and child, at the purple flag.
- Plan for the age range. The carnival is meant for ages 2 to 14. Children under 6 must be with an adult at all times.
- Use the Auditorium. Open gymnastics runs there during the event, with instruction from Cartwheelin' Cuties.
The carnival is also built by local kids. Most of the game booths are made by participants and staff in the city's REC Program and Teen Center. The Haunted House, the cupcake walk, treats and refreshments fill out the rest of the afternoon.
The weekly park routine, already in place
The carnival is a one-day event. Some other east-side amenities are already finished and run on regular schedules through the end of the year.
Begg Pool's fall schedule offers weekday lap swim, by reservation, through December 18. Weekend recreational swim runs through December 13. Reservations are required and are made online.
The city's work plan lists several park projects as completed. They include an upgrade and expansion of the Polliwog Park dog run and resurfaced tennis courts at both Manhattan Heights and Live Oak. Manhattan Heights also got pickleball lines. Live Oak Park added a kiln. These are amenities you can use now, not projects still under construction.
A week-by-week east-side fall

What comes next on Sepulveda
The market's listed season ends in December. The organizer's event listing runs well past this year, but the center has not announced a 2027 schedule. Watch the Manhattan Village events page around the holidays for the next run. Farther up the corridor, Easy Reader reported in July that HomeState is a planned tenant at The Pointe, near Rosecrans Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway. The report gave no opening date.
Manhattan Village has also not posted a holiday calendar for November or December yet. Right now, the Thursday market and the first-Friday fitness mornings are the center's only confirmed recurring dates for the rest of the year.
The Heights and Liberty Village calendar is busier than it was a year ago, and that tends to matter when homeowners here think about what comes next. If you'd like to talk through what your home is worth on this side of Sepulveda, Rachel Ezra is happy to meet, even at the Thursday market. Request a Complimentary Home Valuation.
